Today is 11/11/11! It’s believed by many to be a significant day, a portal to a higher vibration. Being pretty sensitive to energy, I tend to lean toward that kind of thinking, seasoned with some practical skepticism. But no one knows for sure what it may mean, and whether you buy into it or not, today IS a great day to spend some time on self-discovery.
Here’s a very effective process (on any day) to dig into a deeper awareness of what makes you you:
1) Be CURIOUS about the unseen or unexamined parts of yourself, those parts that you’re unaware of which seem to show up in unconscious habits or beliefs.
2) Be INTERESTED in what might change for you if you brought those parts to consciousness.
3) Be EXCITED about the possibilities for a more intentional, authentic and powerful life that could develop from that consciousness.
4) Be CREATIVE in imagining how you might want to channel that power for a better life for you and others.
5) Be INSPIRED to recognize that you are truly more capable than your fears and doubts would lead you to believe.
6) Be EXPRESSIVE and start a dialogue of deepening self-awareness with others, inviting them to bring their unseen parts to light as well – we are all more than we realize.
7) Be ACTIVE with what you learn about yourself, putting it to use in the best ways you can until you are led to the next piece of CURIOSITY that begins this cycle again.
